Our MFM test participants were impressed by its unique one-handed folding mechanism and the clever mechanism used to attach and remove newborn cocoons. However, they felt it was not as responsive on rough terrain as other models with larger wheels.

Comfort

A quality double pushchair 3 wheeler must be comfortable for both baby and parents with a padded seat and hood that protects their heads. Its clever frame expands widthways to accommodate an additional seat, and it can be used as a single pushchair with a car seat or infant carrier attached to its smart adaptors. The front wheel is cleverly designed to be locked or swiveled and the seat can be reclined into different positions for an expanding toddler or child.

Other models worth looking into include the Out n About Nipper V5 and the UPPAbaby Vista 2. The latter is a favorite among MFM testers due to its sleek design and high-end fabrics. It can be used as a single, or a double from birth to a maximum of 15kg for each child. The lockable swivel wheel and never-flat tyres of this stroller are ideal for walking off-road or even jogging after your child is older.

The latter is a good option if you’re looking for an all-terrain bike that can handle long walks and rough terrains, including cobbles, grass and dirt tracks. Its large 16″ rear wheels, lockable swivel wheel and excellent suspension make it an impressive bike.

Safety

A double pushchair 3 wheeler will provide more stability than a standard four-wheeled pushchair, which makes it a safer option if you frequently walk through the countryside. Regular pushchairs have small wheels that can get clogged with grass, sticks, and mud. This makes them difficult for you to navigate.
