Albums

The discography of the American rock band Toto includes 13 studio albums, four live albums, and a number of compilations. Toto has released original music and collaborated with other artists on soundtracks and films. Toto has won numerous Grammy Awards for their work.

Before the formation of Toto the group, members worked as sessions for other musicians. David Paich, the son of session drummer Marty Paich, and Jeff Porcaro (the brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro and drummer Jeff Porcaro) all performed on Boz Scaggsalbum in 1975 Silk Degrees. The group’s collaboration led to formation of Toto in 1976.

The third album of Toto, Turn Back, marked an abrupt departure from the progressive sound of their previous efforts and was criticized for the absence of hit singles. During the tour for the album 40 Trips Around the Sun, drummer Leland Sklar departed from the group and was replaced by Shem von Schroeck. In 2017, Toto released a double-CD live set called Falling in Between, which included recordings from the tour as well as an interview with the group.

Toto has produced a number of music videos. The band has also released several compilation videos and DVDs. The most popular video of the band is “Africa”, which has over one billion views on YouTube. The video is set in a library with the band performing on top of an African book stack.
